Palace press for 20 December Leeds clash as cup prep tightens and Marinakis banner scrutiny grows

Crystal Palace have asked the Premier League to move their Leeds fixture.

They want the game moved to Saturday 20 December.

That change would help them prepare for the rescheduled Carabao Cup quarter final against Arsenal.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta revealed their request to move the Everton game.

The request followed the EFL move of the Emirates tie to two days before Christmas.

Meanwhile the FA charged Palace over a banner linked to Evangelos Marinakis.

  • Palace seek a 20 December date for the Leeds match to aid cup preparations.
  • Arsenal asked for their own Everton game to be moved as the schedule shifts.
  • The FA has charged Palace over a Marinakis related banner.
