Everton Targets Veteran Kyle Walker Amid Man City Exit Rumors

Everton Eyes Veteran Right-Back as Man City Star Seeks Exit

We’re having a laugh, aren’t we? Kyle Walker might be knocking on 36, but Everton’s still sniffing around him like a dog in a trap. City’s veteran right-back could leave for free, and our lot fancy him like it’s the deal of the century. We’ve seen better shape in spilled tea, but here we go again.

Apparently, Walker is keen to explore a move away from Manchester City. Rumour has it he’s tired of the endless trophy haul and wants a fresh start—preferably back on Mersey, where he can maybe get a bit of respect and less of the fancy footwork from the pundits. Moyes thinks his experience and winning ways could be just the thing Everton needs, though I’d take that with a pinch of salt. Experience is good, but is it enough? We’ll see.

Walker is keen, and he doesn’t fancy another stint abroad after his loan at Milan. He wants to come home — or to a club that still matters — and maybe, just maybe, help us look like we know what we’re doing. But I’ll tell you this: whether he comes or not, Everton’s game still looks like it’s played in reverse, all fighting and no shape.

While Tijjani Reijnders dreams of turning into Ilkay Gündogan—strange, that, since Gündogan’s about as Scouse as a Starbucks—Everton keeps plodding along, hoping for a miracle. We’re not about possession stats or fancy projects. We want to see lads who look bothered, who scrap for every ball, and who remember what *fight* means.

Nothing’s changed since Moyes days, has it? Keep your legends, keep your trophies. All we want’s a team that looks like it gives a toss. And maybe, just maybe, Kyle Walker might be just the ticket if we can get him to care as much as we do.
